Local Programs

AIA Cincinnati offers an array of programs for our members and the public.

Continuing Education

Continuing education programs help Architects secure credits to retain licensure. Our Academy offers regular programs in addition to the Educational Summit in November. The Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) hosts monthly lunch and learns. Our Urban Design community organizes salons several times a year, as well as community workshops. The VISION leadership program brings in nationally recognized Architects to provide a public lecture. Check our events calendar for the most current information on AIA Cincinnati programs. AIAU also offers online programs for continuing education.

VISION Program

Cultivating the next generation of leaders in architecture is the mission of AIA Cincinnati’s award-winning VISION program. Architects licensed less than twelve years meet for eleven months to develop their leadership abilities, cultivate business acumen, and build a peer network.

Awards

AIA Cincinnati awards programs seek to recognize the quality design in our community and encourage innovative design practices. The Impact Award and Bettman Prize are awarded to dynamic ideas that leverage the power of design to enrich our community. AIA Cincinnati is one of the only AIA chapters in the country to host an awards program focusing on residential architecture: the CRANawards. We also join with other design professionals—APA, ASID, ASLA, IIDA, and SEGD—to host the Cincinnati Design Awards.

Community

Members of our chapter also work on local advocacy, partner with The Society for Design Administration on Cincinnati Canstruction, and engage with architecture schools at the University of Cincinnati and Miami University.

Events

AIA Cincinnati members organize special events, including sporting clays and golf outings to help support our chapter while engaging our members and building industry professionals.
