*Zoom* CRAN Lunch and Learn – Will Rising Construction Costs Sink All Firms?
We are all experiencing the increase in residential construction costs; framing lumber especially and reduction in hardwood availability. We are all experiencing the delivery delays of materials and supplies; windows taking three times as long to get, appliances too. We are all experiencing the shrinking of qualified tradespeople.
With the rising construction costs, extended delivery times, and availability of certain materials, how are Residential Architects responding to these changing conditions? AIA Cincinnati CRAN explores these questions with a roundtable discussion with Residential Architects from the AIA Ohio Chapter cities.
Questions to be discussed:
Where have all the tradespeople gone?
How are you adjusting to these changes in the market and what are you doing to maintain your practice and explain these challenges to your Clients?
What items are you experiencing the price increases the most?
How are you explaining to your Clients the increase in construction cost and delivery delays?
How is the increase in construction cost affecting your work load?
What are the most frequent issues your contractors are concerned with?
What are you most worried about with the increased cost and the delays in delivery?
What solutions have you come up with to adjust to the long lead times of delivery?
Are there any workarounds?
Is this a local phenomenon or a national phenomenon?
Where does it end?
Join us for a lively discussion with those around the state who are dealing with these issues on a daily basis.
Registration required before 3pm on May 10.
