Preview Night: September 19, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Event: September 20, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (firm set-up begins at 8:30am)

Cost

$300

This will include a DAAP Grand Stair booth space. A portion of the fee will be used to support UC’s summer SAID architecture camp. Fee includes box lunches and parking (for two vehicles in the DAAP Clifton Court garage).

Program Description

Deadline for Participating Firms: September 12

All participants must e-mail 3 PowerPoint slides about your firm to christaf@uc.edu no later than September 12 at 5 p.m. Use subject line: “SAID Works Slides – FIRM NAME.” These will be shown to all participating students so that they can learn about your firm. 

Due to growing popularity and limited presentation space, reservations will be regarded as first-come first-served and could potentially be closed out by this date.  The maximum number of participating firms is 17.

 

Student Portfolio Reviews

Firms will have 8 time slots (30 minutes apart) to meet students for Portfolio Reviews.

You will get to meet the students see their work as you review their portfolios.  The students would like your advice on how they can improve their portfolios as they prepare to begin their job search for their first UC co-op or their first co-op in the Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Bachelor of Interior Design or Master of Architecture program.

Dates allow exposure to both Architecture and Interior Design students.

 

Preview Night Event: September 19, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Participating firms will be asked to have a representative present at this event to give a 3-minute introduction about their firm, and will show the three slides submitted.  The audience will consist of over 100 SAID (School of Architecture and Interior Design) students who are seeking a co-op job opportunity.

 

SAIDWorks! Event: September 20, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (8:30 a.m. setup)

Each firm will have an 8′ x 8′ (+/-) area to display. A 6′-0” x 2’-0” rectangular table and (4) chairs will be placed at your area — (2) of them for students. Firms are expected to conduct back-to-back 25-minute portfolio reviews per student sign-up sheets at the event with a five-minute break in between.  Firms may bring backdrop displays: pull-up panels, easels & boards, etc. Electricity for laptops will be available. Feel free to hand out brochures, cards and other marketing material.
