Advocacy
Strengthening the Voice of Architects in Government
The AIA represents the interests of architects before federal, state, and local governments and other policy-making bodies and organizations. This outreach, coupled with sustained member participation and active involvement in the political process, enables the AIA to advocate on behalf of legislative, regulatory, and related issues important to AIA members.

AIA Scholarship
The committee provides selection criteria and awards scholarships for academic advancement and excellence of students attending the University of Cincinnati (DAAP and/or OCAS).

Architecture By Children
Architecture By Children (ABC) is an AIA Cincinnati outreach program and sponsored by the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati (AFC) to  provide an opportunity for children in grades K-12 to learn about architecture directly from local Architects & designers.

Building Codes and Standards
The committee advises and educates members on changes and updates to building codes and standards as they relate to the profession.  The committee also provides opportunities for members to participate in and become advocates of the code change process, both nationally and locally.

Bylaws
Under the leadership of the current chapter Secretary, this committee annually reviews the chapter's bylaws, recommends and forwards any proposed amendments to the AIA Cincinnati Board of Directors for approval to present to the general membership for adoption.

Canstruction®
Canstruction® is a joint program sponsored by AIA Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Chapter of the Society for Design Administration (SDA) to assist the underprivileged of our society and to raise awareness of architecture in our community.

Cincinnati Design Awards
The goal of this program and committee is to recognize high quality design in the regional community and to educate the general public to the benefits of supporting quality design.

Committee on the Environment
The committee advances, disseminates, awards, and advocates environmental knowledge and values to the profession, industry and public to create sustainable buildings and communities.  The committee coordinates activities with professional member groups in related fields to offer programs with a strong impact and to make its activities useful to a broad range of AIA Cincinnati members.

Communications
The committee's objective is twofold. One, it serves as the conduit to distribute news and information within AIA Cincinnati. Two, it creates awareness of AIA within the community by releasing information about members' and the organization's accomplishments and the organization's upcoming public events to specific individuals, other organizations and the media.

Congress of Residential Architecture (CORA)
The committee promotes quality residential architectural design while conveying the value and benefits of residential design by Registered Architects through monthly continuing education programs and an annual design awards program.

Emerging Professionals
This group supports the needs of emerging professionals by providing resources, seminars and workshops

Finance
Under the leadership of the current chapter Treasurer, this committee provides for the chapter's fiscal and financial oversight while planning for future programming and trends.

Golf Outing
The annual summer event provides a social and networking opportunity for members and non-members and raises over $19,000 per year in non-dues revenue to support the chapter's on-going programs and scholarship fund.

Programs & Events
The committee considers all matters related to professional education.

Urban Design
The committee, through meetings, workshops and public forums, provides opportunities for AIA Cincinnati members to share informed viewpoints on specific urban planning, while increasing the role of AIA Cincinnati Architects in the public/private sector decision-making process.
