AIA Cincinnati, a Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is a non-profit association formed to promote and forward the profession of architecture and the objectives of the American Institute of Architects within nine counties in southwestern Ohio. Chartered by the Institute in 1870 and incorporated in 1899, AIA Cincinnati is one of the oldest Chapters in the country. Our membership of more than 450 architects, interns and design professionals comes from over 100 firms in the southwestern Ohio area. The designation "AIA" after an architect's name signifies that he or she is a professional who is aware and concerned for the community and the beneficial impact that quality architecture can produce.
