We aren't playing around when it comes to hungry children in our community. Hunger affects not only a child's health, but also their behavior, ability to learn, and basic social development. We believe that children should be outside, playing, and enjoying their childhood- not worrying about when they will get their next meal. Our play set, made up of nutritious meats, beans, and vegetables will give them the nutrients and strength they need to play all day long. Because a child's only worry should be how high he can swing.

"The Great AmeriCAN Tower"

Currently making history as the first skyscraper built in Cincinnati in 20 years is The Great AmeriCAN Tower at Queen City Square. The exterior curtainwall façade comprised of 1,619 cans of Progresso Soup and 325 cans of Tuna will be sure to make an impression in the efforts to feed hungry people throughout the city. The crown of the building, inspired by Princess Diana's tiara, is built of 204 silver sardine cans to emulate the crowning glory as the Queen City continues its role as a leader in the region's food drive campaigns. "One Can" see how this city block, containing 207 boxes of gelatin and 119 packs of chocolate pudding, will be sure to satisfy the bellies of all hungry children. "Hunger is No Easy Ride!"

Saddle up cowboy and hang on for the fiercest challenge of your life. Not a hulking, snorting, temperamental 2,000 pound bull or even a meCANical beast, but rather HUNGER. The overwhelming fight against hunger may seem like a grueling challenge, but courage and determination can tame this bucking bull. More than 150,000 people access hunger relief programs supported by the FreeStore/FoodBank. Cowboys and girls and even bulls need a high-protein diet to maintain strength and endurance during the eternal eight second ride. Our structure provides 3000 pounds of vegetables and protein with essential nutrients to keep them healthy and aid in this fight. Get your adrenaline pumping and get charged up to make a difference.

"Tightening Down Hunger"

Many tools are used in order to build the environments in which we live. MSP has created our own 'tool' to aid in the fight against hunger. By providing a variety of food items to the Freestore Foodbank, our Canstruction is a literal tool for fighting hunger. However, it is also a symbol of the work necessary to help our community to begin to envision and build a world without hunger. The black and yellow color scheme of the structure pays homage to the iconic Stanley™ screwdriver.

"Be SMART - Drive Out Hunger"

The Smart Car for two is compact and fuel-efficient, designed to get the most out of its space and natural resources. Constructed of protein-rich tuna and baked beans, this life-sized Smart Car packs a lot of fuel into a small package. In fact, with nearly 5,000 cans of tuna, this Smart Car for two could feed a family of two for over 2 years! It's safe to say, this Smart Car is "tun"-ed up and ready to drive out hunger.
